THE 2025 NEW YORK CITY DYSPHAGIA SYMPOSIUM
The rapid approach of healthcare innovation is forcing us to adapt and innovate to better define and treat the pathophysiology of swallowing disorders. These advancements are playing a larger role in patient access to care and clinician training. How do we embrace the rapid changes in technology without sacrificing the patient and caregiver’s central role in the basic human activity of eating and drinking? Join us during this two-day symposium as we continue to learn from the foundations of dysphagia care while shaping and defining the future of patient-centered science.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:
- Describe the impact of healthcare advancements on the diagnosis and treatment of swallowing disorders.
- Identify key innovations that enhance understanding of the pathophysiology of swallowing disorders.
- Evaluate how advanced tools are improving patient access to care for swallowing disorders.
- Explain the role of emerging technologies in advancing clinician training in dysphagia management.
- Analyze the benefits and challenges of integrating innovative approaches into dysphagia care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current platforms used in the assessment of swallowing function.
- Discuss the implications of healthcare innovation on interdisciplinary collaboration in managing swallowing disorders.
- Develop strategies to incorporate innovative solutions into clinical practice for improved patient outcomes in dysphagia care.
