Alycia R. Rivet is a fourth-year doctoral student at the University of Florida in the Rehabilitation Science program. She has her M.Ed. from the University of Georgia in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Alycia is passionate about SLP clinical practice in dysphagia management, particularly as it relates to evidence-based practice, airway defense, and quality of life. Her training includes both quantitative and qualitative approaches to research. Alycia’s mentor is Karen Hegland, PhD, CCC-SLP of the Upper Airway Defense laboratory.
