It’s been a while since we last posted a dysphagia virtual library. There are so many resources and the intent is to capture a few recently mentioned resources in our articles and/or resources that clinicians may find helpful in their continued education and practice. Below you will find suggested apps, books and web tutorials.
Some of the resources below include dysphagia therapy apps that have recently been created that may aid the clinician in evaluation and treatment of the person with dysphagia. We have acknowledged several resources on experts in the field in recent publications on Head and Neck Cancer, Stroke and Adult and Pediatric dysphagia management. We have been very fortunate to have an increased pediatric presence on our site, so we have included resources on oral motor assessment, early mouth development and chewing that clinicians may find useful. Reflux is a very hot topic in both the clinical SLP and ENT world. This resource exposes the dangers of reflux and acidic diets for the mainstream. Another mainstream resource was inspired by an author/caregiver to create a puree cookbook to make life a little easier in the kitchen for those with dysphagia.
