A 60-minute practical on-demand course for clinicians + Head Neck Bundle
Elastic taping can be a powerful adjunct in head & neck lymphedema management, but it’s often misunderstood or underutilized in clinical practice. This course is designed to break down the clinical reasoning behind elastic taping and show you how to apply it thoughtfully, safely, and effectively with head & neck cancer patients.
In Elastic Taping for Head & Neck Lymphedema, we will review:
- The physiological rationale for elastic taping in head & neck lymphedema
- Indications and contraindications specific to oncology and radiated tissues
- Taping patterns commonly used for facial, cervical, and submental swelling
- How to integrate elastic taping with manual lymphatic drainage and compression
- Skin preparation, wear time, and removal considerations for fragile skin
- Common mistakes, troubleshooting, and patient education tips
This course is ideal for SLPs, OTs, PTs, and lymphedema therapists working with head & neck cancer patients who want to confidently incorporate elastic taping into their treatment plans without guesswork.
